OWA Member Webinar: Finding Hydropower Potential Fast with GIS and the Rapid Hydro Assessment Model

Kerr Wood Leidal is a leader in developing innovative environmentally beneficial solutions for the natural and built environments. KWL’s award-winning Rapid Hydropower Assessment Model (RHAM) uses geographic information systems (GIS) analysis to identify hydroelectric power opportunities over a large area extremely fast.

Using topographic and regional hydrologic data, RHAM calculates the amount of hydroelectric power available on all streams within a study area. RHAM also estimates overall project costs and the economic feasibility of the individual projects.

Ron Monk and Ryan Taylor from Kerr Wood Leidal Associates discuss finding hydropower potential fast with GIS and the Rapid Hydro Assessment Model (RHAM).
