Waterpower Tour at Bracebridge Falls in Celebration of Canada’s 150th

(June 14, 2017 – Bracebridge, Ontario) In celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday, the Ontario Waterpower Association (OWA) will be supporting Bracebridge Generation’s public tour for their Bracebridge Falls Generation Station on Saturday June 17th, 2017.  Assistance for this initiative is being provided by Ontario 150 Community Celebration Program led by the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport.

The tour will feature the inside of this 115year-old waterpower facility located on the North Muskoka River. The event runs from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM. The facility is located at 35 Wharf Road, Bracebridge, Ontario.

“This is an excellent opportunity to get a glimpse inside of a facility and see how waterpower has shaped Canada over the last century and a half,” says Stephanie Landers, Communications and Public Relations Advisor, for the OWA. “If you are in the Muskoka area this Saturday, be sure to stop by.”

The OWA is supporting member tours of hydroelectric facilities and promoting a Celebration of Ontario’s Energy History and Future. Click Here to see what tours are coming up in your area.
