ESA Workshop

On June 30, 2008 the Endangered Species Act came into effect in the province of Ontario. Over the past year the Ontario Waterpower Association (OWA), in consultation with the Ministry of Natural Resources and with legal counsel from Aird Berlis LLP, has developed a "Template Agreement" pursuant to regulation under the Endangered Species Act with respect to built waterpower facilities.

In support of this initiative, the Association has planned this one-day workshop to provide the industry with additional information and a greater understanding of the requirements and opportunities associated with implementing the ESA.
