The Ontario Waterpower Association, in partnership with Ducks Unlimited Canada and with the support of the Natural Resources Canada Science and Technology Internship Program, is seeking a dynamic, self motivated individual to join our team to help advance environmentally sustainable economic development. The position will have responsibility of leading the design and development of data and information architecture to support environmental assessments, adaptive management and best management practices. In addition, the role involves contributing to the continued advancement of wetlands and waterfowl knowledge through the application of Geographic Information Systems.
Regional Power - Job Opportunities
Regional Power manages and operates nine hydroelectric generating facilities with a combined capacity of 88MW. Regional Power will finish two additional projects with a combined capacity of 19 MW in early 2016 that are currently being constructed on the White River in northwestern Ontario. There are five operating assets in British Columbia and four in Ontario all located throughout three time zones and whose plant discharges reach the Atlantic, Pacific and Artic Oceans. Regional Power has commissioned three hydro projects in the last four years and has extensive operating experience since 1985.
